Market Beats May 25: Opened up, HPG continued to red
The market opened up again this morning thanks to the lead of stocks in the VN30 basket, except HPG, which continued to decline.
By 9:20 a.m., VN-Index increased by more than 5 points to 1,238 points. Market breadth was quite positive with 215 gainers and only 60 losers.
In the VN30 basket, there were 19 gainers, of which major contributors to the gain were MWG (HM:MWG), NVL (HM:NVL), REE (HM:REE) and many banking codes like BID (HM:BID) ), TCB (HM:TCB), STB (HM:STB), CTG (HM:CTG), VPB (HM:VPB).
HPG alone continued to decrease by 2.8%, back to 33,900 VND/share. It seems that the bottom-fishing demand at this code yesterday was not enough to help HPG recover. In general, in the steel industry, NKG (HM: NKG) and DTL decreased, while HSG (HM: HSG) and POM (HM: POM) increased slightly.
Fisheries continued to be the best gainer this morning with VHC (HM: VHC), ANV (HM: ANV), FMC gaining over 2%.
Currently, the market is also under pressure from many large stocks such as VIC (HM: VIC), VHM (HM: VHM) or VJC (HM: VJC).
At the recent Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Mr. Tuan committed to buy 10 million shares of GEX to accompany shareholders in the long term in the context that this code has reduced its price by more than 50% in the past time.
